We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Warehouse Porter / Security officer

This role requires 5 days working from the office

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Manual handling of a number of items throughout the day weighing up to 25kg
  • Ensure all anomalies are reported to local management. Accuracy is KEY. All work must be checked
  • To service a number of vehicles which deliver / collect at our facility and check contents according to invoice.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and wear PPE provided
  • Contribute to various audits carried out throughout the year on client accounts.
  • Manage the entry / exit of all staff and visitors. The control and monitoring of all CCTV systems
  • The control and monitoring of all alarm systems. Checking and validating all visiting carrier vehicles and crew details.
  • Controlling the access / egress of vehicles within the site in a safe and secure manner.
  • Escalation of all anomalies to the management team.
  • Maintain accurate and current ID/signature lists of all carrier companies.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved.
  • To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Understanding HSBC culture, compliance and governance
  • Forklift licence preferable, training can be supplied to obtain licence
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with Security Agents.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a large and varied workload whilst ensuring cut off times are met
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Risk awareness and ability to understand and mitigate at appropriate levels
  • Flexibility and a willingness to cover several roles when required
  • Honest and trustworthy, positive background checks to include CTC (counter-terrorism check)
  • Experience of a small team/unit environment.
  • Experience in using Forklifts and electric/manual pallet trucks.
