GO Superfoods Ltd is a leading European superfoods business based on the outskirts of Sheffield. Established in 2008, we import a range of 80+ superfoods direct from growers around the world and sell them under our own brands, in bulk, direct to consumers via Retailers/Amazon and as private label. Location: Office based - Dinnington, Sheffield

About The Role

The Warehouse and Production Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of both the warehouse and production functions, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with operational plans. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct accountability for coordinating labour, managing workflow, maintaining productivity and resolving operational issues across both departments to consistently achieve customer service, quality and operational targets. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the role supports the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing operation by driving continuous improvement, developing people and ensuring effective communication across all operational teams

Scope & Relationships

  • Lead, organise and coordinate operational teams across warehouse and production, ensuring labour is deployed effectively to meet changing business priorities.
  • Work closely with Planning, Technical, Commercial and Supply Chain teams to maintain the efficient flow of materials, production schedules and customer deliveries

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide effective leadership and management of the warehouse and production teams, including training, coaching, performance management, formal appraisals, absence management, and the facilitation of structured daily briefings
  • Champion a positive health and safety culture across all operational departments, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and safe working practices
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and systems, ensuring ongoing compliance with BRCGS Food Safety, Organic, Kosher, Vegan, and other relevant accreditation standards
  • Undertake hands-on operational duties across both warehouse and production as required, working alongside the team to support daily activities
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager during periods of absence, overseeing warehouse and production operations to ensure safety, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuity of service
  • Ensure the consistent achievement of key operational KPIs, including OTIF (On Time In Full), RFT (Right First Time), productivity, quality, waste and service level targets
  • Maintain full accountability for inventory accuracy, ensuring all physical stock is correctly stored and always aligned with system records
  • Drive the operation to maintain EARS (Everyday Audit Ready Standard), ensuring ongoing audit readiness across both warehouse and production
  • Ensure full compliance with all Business Management System (BMS) procedures, policies, documentation, and records, promoting their correct and consistent application
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and fully compliant operational environment in line with all regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all operational documentation is accurately completed, controlled and maintained across warehouse and production activities
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - including Technical, Commercial Production and S&OP, to ensure the efficient, timely, and compliant flow of materials
  • Monitor operational performance and efficiency, driving continuous improvement to meet and exceed business targets
  • Actively contribute to Tier 2 and Tier 3 meetings, providing clear communication, insight, and constructive input
  • Build a high-performing team through effective communication, coaching and development, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
  • Assist in implementing process improvements across both warehouse and production functions

  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, with a proven track record of effectively implementing and embedding compliant practices within an operational setting
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance and reliability to ensure warehouse machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimised
  • Demonstrable knowledge of food safety requirements, including the effective application and maintenance of HACCP principles to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge and experience in tracking, analysing, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance
