All About The Role

Based at our Bradford site, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Saw Operative. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards whilst adhering to all Health & Safety standards. The hours for these roles are weekly rotating Monday to Friday 6 am to 2pm, then Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm,

Specific Tasks Include

  • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items using the correct machinery and overhead cranes.
  • Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
  • Operate machinery when trained to do so.
  • Transferring steel stock to its location, loading vehicles using Forklift trucks and cranes.
  • Loading our fleet of vehicles, trailers and rigids.
  • Shunting vehicles around the yard.
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.

Essential Skills For The Role

  • Have experience as a warehouse operative, not necessarily gained in the steel industry.
  • Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Ideally have operated Cranes, Fork-Lift, Saws, and Side-loaders, however training can be given.
  • Used to working to high levels of Health & Safety.
  • A full UK driving license to enable you to shunt vehicles around the yard.
