Warehouse Shift Manager - Syston - £45,000

The Role

This Warehouse Shift Manager opportunity is with a well-established mid-sized 3PL business based in Leicester, operating within a fast-paced, customer-focused warehousing environment.

The business is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Shift Manager to lead the 06:00 - 14:00 operation, ensuring productivity, accuracy and customer service standards are consistently achieved. You'll take ownership of the morning shift, leading operational teams while driving a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence, supporting customer performance and maintaining the high standards expected within a multi-client 3PL operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation across the 06:00 - 14:00 shift
  • Managing, coaching and developing warehouse team leaders and operational colleagues
  • Driving productivity, accuracy and service performance across inbound, outbound and stock activities
  • Monitoring warehouse KPIs and implementing initiatives to improve operational performance
  • Managing labour planning and resource allocation to maximise efficiency throughout the shift
  • Ensuring Health & Safety, compliance and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
  • Working closely with transport and the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operational delivery
  • Building strong customer relationships and ensuring service level agreements are consistently achieved
  • Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

Key Experience

  • Proven experience operating as a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, Shift Manager or Warehouse Manager within a fast-paced 3PL environment
  • Strong leadership experience managing warehouse teams within a multi-client operation
  • Experience delivering warehouse KPIs across productivity, quality, service and accuracy
  • Good understanding of labour planning, warehouse compliance and Health & Safety best practice
  • Demonstrable experience driving Continuous Improvement across warehouse operations
  • Experience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
  • Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate teams and deliver operational excellence
