XPO Logistics are looking for a Shift Manager for our Weetabix contract in Burton Latimer. This is your opportunity to take charge of a busy and unique warehouse operation. Working on a continental shift pattern, which is a rotation of days and night shifts. You’ll be comfortable challenging process and driving the operation forwards – does this sound like something for you?

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £43095.25 per annum. In addition, we offer:

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of warehouse operatives, team leaders and agency colleagues.
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation across inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound activities.
- Ensure all customer KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
- Monitor productivity, labour planning and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance, quality and cost.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and warehouse procedures.
- Conduct shift briefings, one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, stock discrepancies and customer queries.
- Work closely with transport, inventory, planning and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Support recruitment, training and development of warehouse colleagues.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Shift Manager, Operations Supervisor or Warehouse Manager role within a 3PL or high-volume distribution environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 20+ colleagues.
- Proven ability to deliver operational KPIs including productivity, accuracy and service performance.
- Good knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing agency labour and labour planning is desirable.
- Good understanding of UK health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, specifically a continental rota.
