Warehouse Skills Trainer

Location: Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
Salary: £32,500
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (core hours 9am–5pm, flexibility required)
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with warehouse or logistics experience who is looking to build a long-term career in Learning & Development. As a Warehouse Skills Trainer, you'll play a key role in supporting colleague development, delivering engaging training, and helping create a culture of continuous learning across our operations. Working closely with managers and operational teams, you'll coach colleagues, deliver practical and classroom-based training, assess competence, and support the development of future talent throughout the business.
Whether you already have training experience or are an experienced warehouse professional looking to move into an L&D-focused role, we can provide support and development to help you succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging training programmes for new starters, existing colleagues, and agency workers
- Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job learning
- Conduct inductions, refresher training, skills assessments, and cross-training activities
- Help colleagues build confidence, competence, and safe working practices
- Work with managers to identify training needs and development opportunities
- Support the creation, review, and continuous improvement of training materials and programmes
- Maintain training records, competency matrices, and compliance documentation
- Promote a positive learning culture across the warehouse operation
- Deliver practical training on warehouse equipment and operational processes
- Support regional sites and depots with training and development initiatives

What We're Looking For
- Experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- A passion for developing people and helping others perform at their best
- Previous coaching, mentoring, team leader, supervisor, or training experience would be advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence presenting information to individuals and groups
- Organised, proactive, and able to build positive working relationships
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital learning or record-keeping systems
- Reach Truck, Counterbalance, PPT, AITT or RTITB qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Most importantly, a genuine interest in learning, development, and colleague engagement
