Warehouse Solutions Engineer
Company: Leading 3PL Provider
Reporting Line: Head of Solutions Design
Package: £55,000 – £65,000 + Benefits Location: Leicestershire / Midlands (Hybrid) Working Pattern: 2–3 days on site, 2–3 days from home

They are now seeking a talented Warehouse Solutions Engineer to join their UK Solutions Design team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UK-based Solutions Design arm, shaping warehouse solutions for a range of industries.
- Design and implement bespoke warehouse layouts and systems, ensuring cost efficiency and superior customer service.
- Analyse and optimise existing warehouses to enhance workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage AutoCAD to create detailed, functional warehouse layouts, optimising for space, automation, and scalability.
- Integrate automation technologies (e.g., Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotics, AI, conveyor systems).
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to refine and deliver high-performing solutions.
- Provide expert technical support, guiding clients through project implementation, trials, and long-term service.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements in warehouse design, automation, and smart logistics technologies.

The Candidate
Essential Requirements
- Strong logistics, distribution, and supply chain background (essential).
- 1-2+ years’ experience in logistics engineering / warehouse solutions design (essential).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Excel (essential).
- Basic to strong understanding of warehouse automation technologies (e.g., AMRs, AGVs, robotics, AI systems, conveyor design).
- Highly numerate with strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tenders, meeting tight deadlines (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including client presentation, teamwork, and stakeholder management.

Desirable/Preferred
- 1+ year’s experience in a 3PL environment, specifically in warehouse solutions design.
- Experience with warehouse automation systems to showcase expertise.
- UK full driving licence (essential for commutable site visits).
The Package
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (progressive depending on experience).
- 33 days + 8 days holiday allowance.
