Warehouse Supervisor – Rotherham

Location: Alliance Automotive Logistics, Rotherham

Reports To: First Line Manager

Shift: 4 on 4 off (18:00–06:00)


About the Role

Comprising over 77 distribution centres across 8 countries, Alliance Automotive Logistics is the key distribution arm of Alliance Automotive Group. The business is built on pillars of service excellence, a commitment to fostering long-term partnerships, and delivering value and reliability across all operations.

Specialising in logistics and distribution, the company supplies over 250,000 automotive parts to garages and repair centres across Europe. The goal is to enable faster, more efficient vehicle repairs, ensuring customers’ vehicles remain in good working order with minimal downtime.

As a Warehouse Supervisor at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will oversee warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You’ll maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment while driving productivity, accuracy, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support First Line Managers in leading and supervising daily warehouse activities (receiving, picking, packing, dispatch).
  • Ensure consistent productivity, accuracy, and adherence to service KPIs.
  • Efficiently allocate labour and resources to meet operational demands.
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards at all times.
  • Conduct team briefings and facilitate clear cross-shift communication.
  • Support colleague training, performance management, and development.
  • Maintain high housekeeping and inventory accuracy standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong operational knowledge of warehouse processes and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide teams effectively.
  • A clear understanding of Health & Safety protocols and their application.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven working environment.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
