Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the warehouse at MK Test Systems, in Wellington, Somerset, UK.
Main Purpose of Position
To ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate management of all warehouse activities, supporting production and customer delivery requirements by maintaining stock control, optimising material flow, and leading the warehouse team.
Main Duties
- Plan and oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Ensure all goods are booked in, inspected, and stored correctly.
- Optimise warehouse layout and material flow to support production efficiency.
- Ensure optimal stock levels and minimise excess/obsolete stock.
- Manage kitting of materials to support production schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and KPI reporting (accuracy, turns, value), investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Control FIFO, batch, serialisation, and shelf-life requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff activities.
- Train and develop staff, ensuring full coverage of warehouse functions.
- Conduct appraisals and support personal development plan.
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Enforce use of PPE and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Carry out safety checks on warehouse equipment and ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks).
- Support lean practices and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintain and improve warehouse processes, SOPs, and system accuracy.
- Drive improvements in OTIF, picking efficiency, and stock accuracy.
- Use warehouse/ERP systems to manage stock, transactions, and traceability.
- Liaise with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Support shipping documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.

Essential
- Experience in warehouse supervision or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word).
- Understanding of health & safety and warehouse best practices.
Desirable
- Experience in working in the electronics/manufacturing industry.

Key Information
- 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (3pm close on Fridays).
- Salary £33k per annum.
