Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the team based in Liverpool. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working Sunday to Thursday Nights and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £34,253.60 per annum plus excellent company benefits!
The Warehouse Supervisor role:
This is a fantastic role for a natural leader! Your role will be to supervise the daily work of a designated Warehouse-based team and ensure all necessary resources are in place to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
About us:
Whether it’s fresh consignments or frozen goods we have it covered! Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 12 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We’re the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we’re very good at it.

What you’ll be doing as our Warehouse Supervisor:
- Oversee safe usage of and operate assigned mechanical handling equipment
- Store and transport customer goods safely in line with company procedures
- Ensure all loads are received and checked correctly into the warehouse
- Assist with assembling loads for despatch and onto vehicles
- Take action to ensure any hazards are controlled or removed
- Ensure required quality checks are conducted
- Coach and support others to work in line with company procedures and identify where further development needs arise
- Communicate with relevant colleagues and customers to resolve unforeseen difficulties that may arise
- Deputise where required in partnership with management

What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Warehouse Supervisor?
- Up-to-date licence to use designated mechanical equipment
- Proven experience of operating Warehouse Management Systems and application of associated procedures
- IT literate in Microsoft Office packages
- The ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Experience of leading a team &/or be working towards a Level 3 Management or equivalent qualification
What skills are we looking for in our Warehouse Supervisor?
- Ability to support, motivate and coach staff to maximise individual and team performance
- Ability to use initiative and maximise resources to source effective solutions
- Ability to work to set targets and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
