We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Solar & Cable division at our Belfast Hub, working a Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm / 8am-5pm shift pattern.

Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Rexel Belfast Solar & Cable Hub. The role ensures efficient and accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and despatch of solar and cable products, while maintaining the operational, safety, and service standards expected of a Rexel distribution hub. You will also work closely with other internal Solar & Cable teams to support effective order intake, fulfillment, and distribution.

You will also provide support to the wider Belfast hub in the absence of the Hub Manager.

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities across goods-in, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, and loading
  • Plan and prioritize workload to meet required order cut-offs and delivery expectations
  • Ensure stock is received, processed, and made available in line with agreed operating principles and timelines

Order Intake, Fulfillment & Distribution

  • Liaise daily with the Solar & Cable team to align priorities, manage exceptions, and ensure smooth order intake and fulfillment.
  • Ensure outbound orders are picked and packed accurately, with correct paperwork and carrier readiness.
  • Support a “right first time” culture—accuracy, packaging integrity, and on-time despatch.

Safety, Compliance & Standards

  • Maintain a safe working environment and enforce compliance with Rexel health & safety requirements, including safe systems of work, training compliance, and good housekeeping.
  • Ensure safe loading practices and product integrity are maintained during movement and despatch—particularly for solar panels and fragile/awkward loads.

Systems, Process & Documentation Discipline

  • Ensure operational processes and documentation are completed accurately and retained appropriately, supporting audit readiness and traceability.

People Supervision & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and coordinate warehouse colleagues to deliver productivity, accuracy, and service objectives.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and address issues proactively (quality errors, damages, shortages, missed cut-offs).
  • Promote engagement and teamwork between warehouse operations and the Solar & Cable commercial team.

Stock Integrity & Hub Presentation

  • Support strong stock control disciplines (location accuracy, damage control, quarantines, cycle count support where applicable).
  • Maintain hub standards: tidy warehouse, compliant storage, clear walkways, correct racking use, and appearance.

What We Are Looking For

  • FLT License/experience required
  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory/lead role (distribution, hub, or branch warehouse environment).
  • Strong working knowledge of end-to-end warehouse processes (goods-in to despatch).
  • Confidence coordinating with office-based sales/operations teams to manage priorities and exceptions.
  • Strong safety mindset; experience enforcing safe working practices.
  • Operational accuracy and attention to detail (paperwork, labelling, picking accuracy).
  • Good planning and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with IT systems.
