Here at GXO, we are looking for a Warehouse Support Manager for our drinks site in Derby due to business expansion with a new client! Exciting times….
Role Overview
You will be ensuring the effective and safe management of the warehouse operation through colleague, equipment and task management. Ensuring positive results in departmental performance in respect of health and safety, colleague output, commercial acumen and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the Warehouse function whilst reporting to the shift manager
- Management, control and reporting of all costs, KPIs and operational statistics within budget
- Effective communication with the customer and internal colleagues
- Workforce planning and effective resourcing to cope with picking volumes
- Employee Relations, including experience dealing with Disciplinary, Absence and Grievance matters
- Challenge current practices through the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectively manage costs
- Managing staffing levels, recruitment, learning and development and colleague communications
- Leading a positive Health and Safety culture within the warehouse

Job Details
This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7, 40 hours per week with 30 min paid break, 09:00 to 17:00. Some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!
Pay, Benefits and More
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £37,000.00 and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Requirements
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Management role
- IOSH Managing Safely – desirable
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office with preferred experience in DLX / SAP
- Effective people management and leadership skills
