About the Role

Are you a natural leader who knows how to motivate a team to achieve outstanding results? Do you thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment where no two days are the same? Can you balance people management, operational performance and Health & Safety with confidence?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Warehouse Team Leader to join our multi-user site in West Hallam. You’ll support Warehouse/Operations Managers in driving operations excellence. You’ll play a key role in leading a team of Warehouse Operatives, ensuring productivity targets are achieved, stock accuracy is maintained, and customer expectations are exceeded.

Position Details

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work ‘any 5 from 7’ on rotating shifts between 05:30 and 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £31,266.54 per annum, plus 7.5% shift premium and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

  • Leading, coaching and motivating a team of Warehouse Operatives to achieve and exceed operational KPIs
  • Managing stock integrity through cycle counts, inventory audits, investigations, and error resolution
  • Monitoring productivity, allocating workloads, and ensuring tasks are completed within agreed deadlines
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all policies and safe working practices
  • Supporting customer requirements by responding to queries, producing reports, and ensuring service levels are consistently met

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar warehouse leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop team members
  • Experience of stock control, inventory management, cycle counting, and warehouse operations
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with colleagues, management, and customers
  • A proactive and organised approach, with strong commitments to Health & Safety and continuous improvement
