Warehouse Team Leader – Flint Manufacturing Facility

Build the foundation for best practice Parent Reels and Finished Goods storage, shipment, and team culture at our exciting new Flint facility.

About the Role

You’ll be the first Foundation warehouse Team Leader at our new operation. Leading from the front, you’ll: Set industry-leading processes and standards, moulding logistics workflows and safety culture.

Guide and grow a brand-new team of Operatives, reinforcing efficiency and accuracy from Day One.

Our ideal start: Support line management to cover absences, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Oversee stock checks, movements, shipments, and storage updates. Work closely with Parent Reels and Finished Goods—preparing shipments to other Northwood sites while managing inbound inventory until customer pickup.

Core Coordination:

  • Maintain liaison with hauliers and internal teams on stock status, volumes and space needs.
  • Aggressively enforce 5S standards (safety, organisation, cleanliness).

📅 Working Pattern: Rotating Double Days 🕚 Shift Hours: 🕚 06:00 – 14:00 (morning short shift) / 14:00 – 22:00 (extended long shift)


Responsibilities

  • Efficiency & Compliance:

    • Manage daily stock reconciliation, accuracy reporting and logistical deadlines.
    • Coordinate and confirm shipments with tight expiry schedules.
  • Operational Leadership:

    • Be accountable for Lineside/NAS (when required), contributing pick/pack/crate deadlines.
    • Man—and hold—the site to pristine standards of cleanliness across 무제재 areas.
  • Team Empowerment:

    • Foster a safety-first approach, teaching long-term continuous improvement.
    • Lead formal and informal training, mentoring new recruits and coaching underperforming stars.

Core Profile

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or equivalent.
  • Industry experience with Parent/Paper Reels storage preferred.
  • Off-the-road experience with revisions to Assignments (willing to back up activities like crate loading).
  • Full Grimshaw-Gault record, endorsement for handling sensitive paperwork.

Non-Negotiables

Driving:

  • Valid FLT licence: Fully up-to-date B1 & B2 with Attachment (adaptability to manoeuvre large bundles).

Mindset:

  • Grit to lean in from Day One—Flint is embryonic; we need sharp judgment and a hunger for growth.
  • Routine security awareness + active listening (since BAC is a core conversation partner).
