Warehouse Team Leader | DSV
Role: Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Mercia Park, Unit 6
Contract Type: Full Time | Mon-Fri, 06:00–14:00 (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role
You’ll lead operations in our warehouse environment, ensuring seamless workflows, customer KPI attainment, and a culture of safety, efficiency, and team development. Your responsibility spans day-to-day oversight, team leadership, and problem-solving to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations to fulfil demand and meet business targets.
- Train and mentor warehouse operatives, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
- Maintain accurate stock records, inventory systems, and efficiency-driven processes.
- Manage and troubleshoot warehouse systems (integrated, automated, or manual).
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Resolve issues promptly and address customer, supplier, or transport enquiries when needed.
- Generate recurring performance reports and document operational metrics.
- Uphold health and safety standards, including correct manual handling techniques.
- Manage warehouse security, cleanliness, and organisation.
- Support team welfare, including scheduling, disciplinary procedures, and return-to-work interviews.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport logistics as required.
- Cover additional management duties during absences or leave.

About You
We’re looking for a motivated Warehouse Team Leader with:
- Proven leadership experience—proven ability to manage a team through guidance, development, and motivation.
- Clear communication—ability to convey expectations and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly with spreadsheets, databases, and warehouse systems.
- Analytical, numerical, and meticulous—excellent attention to detail for stock and operational accuracy.
- Knowledge of health, safety, security, and hazardous goods (where applicable).
- Familiarity with customer-focused delivery models and lean principles (advantageous).
- Relevant certifications, such as:
- NVQ Level 2 (Logistics/Operations)
- Dangerous Goods Handling qualifications
- Supervisory/Team Leader training
- Fork Lift Truck License (Beneficial but not essential if QA holds one)
