Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Plan and manage a team of Warehouse Operatives on a daily basis to achieve daily workload. Ensure audit readiness is maintained in the Warehouse at all times, including compliance to all legislation appertaining to Health & Safety, Employment Law, Food Safety, and company hygiene standards. Cover Shift Managers' holiday and absences.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily tasks of a team to ensure the Warehouse achieves against planned targets and all relevant KPIs.
  • Manage and understand the WMS system.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Shift Manager role and what is required to cover in their absence.
  • MHE – Maintaining and charging of batteries.
  • Loading – Freezer/Chill/Dry- Loaded correctly and on time.
  • QIP – Making sure that the shift follows QIP guidelines and that daily paperwork is complete. Raising product issues with the Quality Manager.
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  • To ensure all cages picked and loaded meet MBUK standards.
  • To manage the work area to ensure it is clean and tidy at all times.
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards.
  • To achieve the targets and job standards set out by management.
  • To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
  • To perform any reasonable request from Management.

Qualifications

Profile:

  • Technical competencies:
    • 2+ years of related work experience.
    • Previous management experience in a similar FMCG operation.
    • Previous experience of MS computer packages to an intermediate level.
    • Good performance management skills.
    • Previous experience of conducting interviews.
    • Experience of managing within a union environment – Desirable.
    • Formal management skills, experience of employment law, and HR processes – Desirable.
