Job Requisition: Warehouse Team Leader
Ref: 120202 Location: Mercia Park, Unit 5 (DE12) Shift: Mon–Fri, 14:00–22:00 (37.5 hours per week) Type: Full-time
At DSV, we’re expanding our logistics network and are seeking passionate candidates to lead our operations.
About the Role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll oversee a section of the warehouse to ensure smooth operations, achieve customer targets, and uphold a culture of safety and efficiency. You’ll mentor staff, drive performance, and optimise workflows to maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations to fulfil customer demand and meet business targets.
- Train, coach, and develop warehouse operatives in your team.
- Maintain accurate stock records, conduct inventories, and uphold real-time inventory systems.
- Optimise warehouse processes, introducing improvements where possible.
- Resolve operational issues efficiently while ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Generate reports, track KPIs, and liaise with senior management.
- Manage daily team attendance, performance reviews, and welfare support.
- Lead manual handling and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Cover management duties in absence of senior staff.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader with:
- Proven leadership in supervising warehouse teams.
- Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Customer-service mindset with knowledge of lean practices (desirable).
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2, Dangerous Goods Handling, or supervisory certifications).
- Forklift Licence (advantageous but not mandatory).
