Warehouse Team Leader (Late Shift 6PM–2AM) – Darlington | Supply Chain

The Role

As a Warehouse Team Leader in Darlington, you will lead a dynamic team, optimise operations, and ensure seamless service delivery. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) operating a late shift (6PM–2AM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a warehouse team to exceed KPIs while maintaining pristine customer service
  • Ensure operational compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Oversee people leadership including:
    • Performance reviews
    • Absence management
    • Holiday approvals
    • Training and development
  • Uphold stock integrity via cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and correct product handling
  • Coordinate daily workflow and resource allocation to meet service targets, covering:
    • Picking
    • Packing
    • Replenishment
    • Loading

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar Team Leader or Supervisory role within a high-volume, customer-focused warehouse
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, training, and handling performance/disciplinary processes
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF technology
  • Commitment to operational excellence, health, safety, and housekeeping standards
