Main Purpose of Job

To supervise and support a designated warehouse team to ensure daily operational targets are met, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Engagement

  • Lead and motivate a small team to achieve success based on known daily targets.
  • Communicate objectives and relevant information clearly to ensure team member engagement.
  • Integrate effectively with your team, peer groups, and Line Managers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in resource sharing through collaboration and reasoning with other Team Leaders.

Performance & Standards

  • Champion Health & Safety, loss prevention, quality, and housekeeping within your area.
  • Monitor team activities and provide on-the-floor coaching to help members achieve success.
  • Demonstrate and enforce all standard operating procedures (SOPs) within your remit.
  • Support KPI achievement by understanding operational goals and driving team performance to meet them.

Communication & Process

  • Conduct daily shift briefings to communicate tasks and objectives in a positive manner.
  • Deliver effective handovers to the next shift or peer group to ensure operational continuity.
  • Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders and maintain a positive face of the company.
  • Adopt a positive culture of improvement and enjoyment within the department.

Systems & Administration

  • Utilize Company systems (such as Seqos WMS) to navigate and manage warehouse tasks.
  • Record productivity data for tasks such as picking, driving, and rework to identify shortfalls.
  • Use basic Excel for simple data entry or tracking as required by the department.

Key Results / Objectives

  • Ensure the team understands and meets daily performance expectations and KPIs.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with Health & Safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Clearly describe and demonstrate SOPs to team members and management as required.

Responsible For

  • Direct supervision of a team of warehouse staff and agency personnel.
  • Safe operation of warehouse equipment within the designated area.

Essential Requirements

  • Licences: Valid licences for FLT, VNA, or HLOP.
  • Experience: Proven ability to lead by example in a warehouse or logistics environment.

Salary: £13.99 - £14.00 Per Hour
