Warehouse Team Leader – City Plumbing Supplies Contract
About the Role
Are you ready to take charge of daily warehouse operations at GXO? As a Warehouse Team Leader at our Warrington site, you’ll lead your team on the floor, manage deliveries, and be the key point of contact for operational queries and support. We’re seeking candidates for full-time, permanent roles, including shifts from 06:00–14:00 (AM), 14:00–22:00 (PM), and 22:00–06:00 (night) (Monday to Friday).
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Take ownership of delivery, team distribution of work, and KPI performance in collaboration with Floor Level Manager (FLM).
- Lead your team in achieving primary and secondary KPIs tied to contractual targets, addressing underperformance proactively.
- Drive team engagement and ensure workload clarity, aligning performance with expectations.
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain team and workspace adherence to GXO’s Safety standards, including compliance with the "Road to Zero" initiative.
Team Development
- Review and support team members’ daily achievements, offering one-on-one motivation and proactive coaching.
- Foster a culture of excellence and individual growth within your team.

Required Experience & Skills
Core Qualifications
- Proven track record in managing operational teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills to maintain engagement on-site and facilitate clear updates to colleagues and management.
Technical Proficiency
- Data-driven mindset: Competency in Excel/Google Sheets, with experience creating spreadsheets and visual aids for performance analysis.
- Ability to generate reports and provide actionable insights to support team and operational goals.
