Warehouse Night Shift Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a Warehouse Night Shift Team Leader to oversee and direct the daily activities of a designated warehouse team, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to warehouse procedures. This role operates on a 4-day on, 4-day off basis during night shifts, from 7pm to 7am.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Night Shift Team Leader will:

  • Support the Warehouse Shift Manager by leading the operational team to meet shared goals for proficient, consistent, and excellent service delivery
  • In the absence of the Shift Manager, take full accountability and responsibility for managing the warehouse team
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive inductions using approved documentation for all colleagues
  • Ensure all internal systems, including HR.net and HCM, are completed promptly and regularly reviewed
  • Enforce adherence to HR policies and procedures at all times
  • Perform performance and annual reviews in line with company procedures, setting clear objectives, IDPs, and conducting bi-annual reviews
  • Manage absence and operational HR duties effectively
  • Oversee inbound and outbound cargo flows, manpower, equipment, and inventory to optimise cost efficiency while delivering outstanding service
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to ensure operations are run cost-effectively and responsibly
  • Work with the team to develop and implement excellent operational management practices and best practices
  • Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 standards, K+N Quality Management System, and any customer-specific requirements
  • Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and efficient workload optimisation
  • Comply with guidelines for PharmaChain and BatteryChain Quality Management Systems, along with national/local SOPs and Safety Net Systems (P806)
