Warehouse Team Leader – Nights (Job Req #119673)
Location: Mercia Park, Unit 6 Time Type: Full Time Days/Shifts: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
About the Role
At DSV, we’re building the world’s leading logistics and transport network. This exciting growth comes with opportunities—and we’re now seeking a motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join our team during night shifts.
In this role, you will manage a section of the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations, meeting customer KPIs, and fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and teamwork. You’ll lead a group of operators, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maintain high performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversees warehouse operations to fulfil customer demand and meet business targets.
- Trains and develops warehouse operatives within your assigned area.
- Ensures accurate stock records, effective inventory management, and conducts regular stock takes.
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate computerized or automated systems.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements recommendations.
- Addresses and resolves warehouse issues efficiently.
- Prepares regular reports and performance statistics as required.
- Ensures health and safety standards are maintained, including manual handling procedures.
- Manages warehouse security and maintains a clean, organised working environment.
- Oversees team attendance and supports the resolution of staffing and people management issues.
- Communicates operational priorities, targets, and requirements to the team.
- Monitors team performance, conducts return-to-work interviews, and provides welfare support.
- Participates in grievance and disciplinary processes as needed.
- Liaises with customers, suppliers, and transport companies when required.
- Steps in to cover management duties during staff absences or leave.

About You
We’re looking for a strong Warehouse Team Leader with the following qualities and experience:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems, particularly spreadsheets, databases, and warehouse management software.
- Analytical, numerical, and detail-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and security requirements.
- Understanding of customer deliverables and lean techniques (an advantage).
- Relevant qualifications such as:
- NVQ Level 2
- Dangerous Goods Handling certification
- A supervisory qualification
- A forklift licence is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
