Warehouse Team Leader (Late Shift 6PM–2AM) – Darlington – Supply Chain
About the Role
As a Warehouse Team Leader based in Darlington, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives with a focus on customer service, operational efficiency, and staff development. This is a full-time position, working 6pm–2am, totalling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team to meet/exceed KPIs and deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure all operational processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant with:
- Health, safety, and environmental standards
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF technology
- Manage people leadership, including:
- Performance reviews
- Absence management
- Holiday approvals
- Training and development
- Maintain inventory integrity through:
- Cycle counts
- Discrepancy investigations
- Proper product handling
- Coordinate daily operations, optimising workflows for:
- Picking
- Packing
- Replenishment
- Loading
- Deploy resources effectively to meet service targets

Requirements
- Proven success as a Team Leader/Supervisor in a high-volume, service-oriented warehouse
- Strong leadership & management skills, including:
- Coaching/mentoring
- Conducting performance/disciplinary reviews
- Excellent communication & conflict-resolution abilities
- Competency with:
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- RF technology
- Health & safety commitment:
- Enforcing high standards of housekeeping
- Driving operational efficiency and compliance
