£35,000–£43,000 inclusive (plus shift premium) | 6-month fixed-term contract St. Helens, WA9 5AU | 22:00–06:00 (any 5 days per week, including weekends)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to join our team at the Lea Green depot.

As Team Manager, you’ll:

  • Oversee a sizeable warehouse team to ensure all products are safely picked, packed, and processed to exacting standards.
  • Lead, coach, and engage your team to deliver consistently high performance, while upholding working standards, policies, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Play a key role in health and safety, warehouse standards, and process improvements.
  • Track and analyse performance data, identifying opportunities to enhance workflows.

Your Responsibilities

  • Team leadership – Manage a large team of warehouse operatives with a strong focus on motivation and efficiency.
  • Results-driven performance – Meet tight deadlines and exceed critical performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder relations – Build positive partnerships across the business to support warehouse operations.
  • Standard delivery – Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, processes, and best practices.
  • Data analysis – Monitor team performance and suggest actionable improvements to processes.
  • Workload planning – Organise tasks for both your team and yourself, ensuring smooth and timely execution.

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Skills

✅ Proven team management experience (preferably in logistics, FMCG, or warehouse environments). ✅ Strong ability to work under pressure with precision and urgency. ✅ Track record of exceeding performance KPIs in fast-paced environments. ✅ Deep knowledge of warehouse policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. ✅ Exceptional organisational skills – Able to plan workloads efficiently for both yourself and your team. ✅ Understanding of how service failures impact retail operations and customer experience. ✅ Clear, confident communication – Can influence teams and stakeholders effectively. ✅ Proficiency in warehouse/IT systems – Familiar with operational software and tools.
