Typical Responsibilities
- Ensure all materials received are stored in accordance with Company procedures and Health & Safety Regulations.
- Responsible for the recording and maintaining of all relevant computer and administration activities in respect to stock movement.
- Liaison with the Purchasing & Production Control teams as required.
- Provide assistance within RS stores & Goods Inwards upon request.
- Provide holiday/sickness cover within the department.
- Ensure any defects found to equipment or plant are escalated to the appropriate personnel for action.
- Possess full knowledge of the department’s current quality standards and appropriate quality procedures.
- To hold a current Fork Lift Truck Certificate.
- Ensure the correct and safe movement and storage of components, sub-assemblies or finished products received into the department.
- Contribute to and make recommendations for any improvements to process method/quality.
- Helping to maintain good working relations through effective communication within the Department and with others to achieve Company & Departmental objectives.
- A high regard for Health & Safety procedures including any relevant department specific health & safety requirements due to Company rules or legislation.
- Assisting with any process/system changes deemed necessary within the department.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to carry out any additional duties deemed necessary by the department Manager.
- Participate in perpetual and annual stock taking activities.
- Ability to work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Where appropriate, assist with & provide on the job training.
- Partake in staff development programmes.
- Promote a professional image at all times.
