Role Title: Warehouse Team Member
Salary: £20,527.63
Working Hours: 23 hours - Sat 7:15am – 7:15pm and Sun 8am – 8pm
Location: Resolution Road, Ashby, LE65 1PF

What will this role achieve?
We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals for Warehouse Team Member roles at MDC. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced distribution environment managing the inbound and outbound of finished goods.
As a Warehouse Team Member, your main responsibility is to receive, pick, and load finished products in the Warehouse. All employees will receive two weeks of training for all Manual Handling Equipment (MHE). It is for this reason that we provide Warehouse employees with smart uniforms once completed the six-month probationary period. You will be issued relevant PPE at induction and we will expect you to wear this at all times.
The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in the Warehouse whilst working as part of a dynamic team.

What will be your key deliverables?
- 2 weeks training when you join – FLT / Counterbalance/ VNA / PPT
- Report all accidents and near misses.
- Offloading finished goods and packaging into the Warehouse
- Loading finished goods onto trailers
- Picking product from pick-face
- Use of an FLT/Counterbalance/PPT/VNA
- Accurate receipt of stock and inputting into WMS system.
- Maximise Warehouse efficiency whilst minimizing waste.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the Warehouse whilst carrying out quality inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest levels.
- Supporting the business with the generation of any improvement initiatives.
Bring your experience
Essential
- Have experience working with Counterbalance and PPT.
- Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices, HACCP, and safety at work procedures.
- Will demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and possess a positive attitude to change.
- Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative
We’re looking for people who are open to working flexibly and feel comfortable adapting to a fast-moving environment—with support available to help you succeed.
- Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
- Additional ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Desirable
- Have an in-date Counterbalance and PPT license - All training will be provided – you will be considered with/without an FLT licence.
What does the recruitment process consist of?
- Assessments – Error Checking and a Workplace English assessment.
- Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
If you’re an internal member of staff, depending on your current job role, you may not be required to complete all of the assessments.
