Warehouse/Yard Assistant
Warehouse / Yard Assistant – Permanent
We’re seeking a practical and customer-focused Warehouse / Yard Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role involves helping keep our feedstore and yard organised, safe, and customer-ready.
Ideal for those who thrive in a physical, outdoor environment, enjoy delivering exceptional service, and want to make a difference.
About the Role
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Working Pattern: 5 days weekly on a rota basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with goods inward, stock rotation, and accurate processing of deliveries
- Maintaining stock integrity, ensuring correct bookkeeping and quality fulfilment
- Keeping the feedstore and yard areas tidy, compliant, and organised
- Providing friendly, solution-focused service to all customers
- Upholding health & safety protocols and company standards

About You
We’re looking for someone passionate about exceptional customer service in a hands-on retail setting. Key requirements include:
- Experience in manual handling and safe lifting practices
- Background (or desire to work) in an agricultural or feedstore environment (preferred)
- Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure
- A friendly, energetic, flexible team player with a mix of enthusiasm and adaptability
