At Albert Bartlett, a renowned name in the UK potato industry since 1948, we are committed to delivering quality and sustainability in our products.
We're currently looking for a proactive Washplant Operator to join our team, working backshift (Sunday to Thursday with every 3rd Saturday). This role is essential in ensuring our potato-cleaning process meets our high standards for quality before the products proceed to the production line.
As a Washplant Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining washing machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Conducting quality checks on washed potatoes to guarantee compliance with specifications
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of washing equipment
- Documenting production metrics and maintaining accurate records of operations
- Following health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment
- Collaborating with team members to enhance workflow and address operational challenges

Requirements
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing role, particularly in a food-related environment (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Good teamwork abilities and communication skills
- Flexibility to work the specified days, including weekends
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in industrial settings
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment
