JOB TITLE: Washroom Hygiene Operative

Salary: £27628.81 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 05:00 - 13:00

Location: Cheltenham

Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.

About The Role

We are actively seeking a reliable, conscientious, and adaptable Cleaner/Washroom Hygiene Services Operative to join our team in Cheltenham. In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across designated facilities. You will handle both general cleaning and specialised washroom sanitation to support core government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment in accordance with procedures.
  • Safely remove and dispose of waste from general, sanitary, and nappy waste bins.
  • Clean and sanitise sanitary bins thoroughly inside and out.
  • Transport collected waste safely to centralized collection points.
  • Strictly adhere to legal and organisational rules for waste segregation.
  • Work safely and efficiently, prioritizing your own and others' health and safety.
  • Complete all mandatory training and comply with corporate security policies.
  • Act as a positive G4S ambassador when interacting with clients and contractors.
  • Stand ready to provide crucial cleaning services during operational crises.
  • Provide flexible cover for staff absences and complete ad-hoc tasks as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be reliable and conscientious with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and proactive approach to daily tasks.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain high-level government Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

(Note: Previous cleaning experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training is provided.)
