Job Title: Waste Application Advisor

Location: Durrington, West Sussex

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 37

Salary: Up to £30k depending on skills and experience

About The Role

Becoming an Application Advisor is a great opportunity to step into an organisation that can give you the stability and work life balance you’ve been dreaming of. During your first couple of months of training, you will be required to be in our Durrington office every day.

But once you can fly solo, you will be able to enjoy that work-life balance that your friend was bragging about.

You will be working from home 2 days and coming to the office 3 days a week. You can choose to drive as we have lots of parking spaces or take public transport as we are in walking distance to local bus stops and train stations.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • You will be part of a team of 9 and will work closely and collaboratively to bridge the gap between the jargon we use internally and what the customer really needs within our Developer Services team.
  • Understand what developer-customers require and provide the appropriate supporting material
  • Accept and Reject applications in line with the Southern Water procedures and Water UK Levels of Service
  • Creation of Application on behalf of developer-customers when requested
  • Manage developer-customer queries received via a web-based portal, chat, telephone, email and post
  • Provision of key information to customers via web portal, chat, phone, email, or post to support the lifecycle of a DS scheme
  • Understand and process information provided on an application form
  • Work to Southern Water Processes for New Connections
  • Produce Survey Packs for our delivery Contractors
  • Provide support to different teams within DS when required, including the customer contact centre
  • Log received paper applications on the system
  • Work to Southern Water health & safety standards
