Operational Maintenance Technician (Plant) – Pembroke Dock
Job Requisition Number 8373 Work Type: Permanent Job Function: Operational Salary Range: £31,395 – £35,682 Base Location: Pembroke Dock Closing Date: Sunday 12th July 2026 at 23:59
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on all DCWW equipment, ensuring compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdowns
- Investigating and efficiently repairing plant failures to avoid service interruptions, while maintaining legislative compliance
- Executing like-for-like installations, refurbishments, and assisting with commissioning equipment to specification and deadline
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to maintain correct tolerance and mechanical alignment for optimal plant performance
- Developing a deep understanding of treatment processes and operational variations to enable rapid problem-solving
- Inspecting, repairing, installing, and testing mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards
- Actively participating in risk assessments, COSHH procedures, and all related health and safety initiatives
- Assessing spares and materials requirements, ordering necessary parts via the supervisor or directly from suppliers
- Maintaining ISO standard IMS (Information Management System) procedures, keeping records accurate for internal and external audits
- Using mobile devices to record work details and timesheets
- Collaborating closely with the Alliance Partnership to effectively implement major capital projects

About You
Ideal Candidate:
- Electrical bias preferred (highly desired)
- A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or dual skilled engineering, completing either:
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification, or
- An equivalent City & Guilds certification
- Full, valid driving licence
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- IT proficiency, with experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Practical industry experience aligning with apprenticeship qualifications and strict H&S compliance
Additional Considerations
- Standby rota requirement: 1 week on, 11 weeks off
- Company-provided work van available
