Waste Segregation Officer

Waste Segregation Officer (Permanent, Full-Time, 30 Hours/Week)

Location: Reading (SUEZ Train Care Depot) Salary: £13.45 per hour Hours: 30 per week | Shift Pattern: Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun (0800–1400)

About The Role

About the Role You’ll work as a Waste Segregation Officer at SUEZ Recycling & Recovery UK, supporting an established business dedicated to reducing landfill, conserving resources, and minimising environmental impact—all while fostering customer relations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Organising customer waste by sorting into correct recycling and non-recycling bins from bin bags.
  • Visiting customer sites to address issues or special requests.
  • Ensuring we meet or exceed environmental goals with precision.

What You’ll Bring: ✅ Reliability & clear communication skills—critical for customer interactions. ✅ Detailed-oriented mindset—accuracy in sorting waste is vital. ✅ Customer service experience (desirable but not essential). ✅ Waste industry experience (desirable but not essential).
