Waste Supervisor
Salary – £28,000 - £31,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 42.5 hours per week
Location – Sixfields HWRC, NN5 5QL
As a Waste Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of recycling facilities, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant running of the site while delivering excellent customer service and maximising recycling and reuse performance.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of recycling centre operations and ensuring service standards are met
- Taking responsibility for the health and safety of staff, contractors and site visitors
- Monitoring site performance and resolving issues such as service delivery, cleanliness and customer experience
- Maximising reuse and recycling rates across the site
- Managing and supporting site teams, including Team Leaders and Operatives
- Ensuring staff are trained, competent and working in line with FCC policies and procedures
- Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work are followed
- Supporting reporting processes and ensuring accurate data is recorded
- Working with management and transport teams to ensure effective service delivery, including weekend cover
- Driving continuous improvement across operations and customer satisfaction

What are we looking for?
- Experience in the waste sector or a similar operational environment
- Experience of managing teams, ideally across multiple or busy sites
- Strong focus on health and safety and compliance
- Good organisational and administration skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Flexible approach with willingness to work weekends on a rota
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of recycling centre or transport operations would be beneficial
