Wastewater Supervisor

Experienced & Qualified Wastewater Supervisors – Dual Manhole Inspection Project

Severn Trent Water Contract (Finlay Jude Associates)

Our client, a specialist provider across gas, water, electricity, and telecommunications networks, seeks Wastewater Supervisors to deliver a critical Dual Manhole Inspection Project for Severn Trent Water.

Project Overview

This senior operatives role involves conducting high-quality CCTV camera inspections of dual manholes across the wastewater network. Inspections will follow strict standards, with any findings managed by an external contractor. Your primary focus will be on safety, inspection accuracy, and effective site supervision.

📅 Start Date: January 2026


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and conduct field inspections of dual manholes in assigned regions using CCTV cameras.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead daily work activities, manage site documentation, and coordinate logistics between internal and external teams.
  • Liaise effectively with boots on the ground, contractors, and your own management to resolve issues.
  • Maintain real-time, accurate records and ensure all inspection reports meet regulatory standards.
  • Follow all Health & Safety (H&S), Environmental, and Occupational Hygiene (SHEA) practices rigorously.

Required Qualifications & Training

(Manuscript answer strictly required – no substitutes!)

  • Valid UK driving licence (essential).
  • Manual Handling qualification.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene.
  • Asbestos Non-Licensed (Aware, but non-licensed).
  • Confined Space Awareness training.
  • Gas Monitor Training (completion narrative: “for monitoring atmospheric analysis”).
  • EUSR Water SHEA (confirmed team rubric).
  • High-Risk Confined Space entry expertise.
  • NRSWAUnits(LA+01–06). (Note: A mix of licensure and operator standards; flexibility recognised)

  • Wastewater or utilities sector experience – essential.
  • Proven track record supervising field teams or managing high-focus operational tasks.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Confined Space risk mitigation.
    • Wastewater infrastructure operation protocols.
    • Documentary workflows for inspection-based roles.
