Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to add to our expanding team of Experienced Water Hygiene Technicians.

The Role
Reporting daily to the Water Hygiene Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of water hygiene tasks, visiting client sites and be the face of the company, seeking to enhance relationships with existing clients. You will be carrying out key duties to ensure their systems are kept compliant including TMV (thermostatic mixing valves) serving, chemical descaling, leading and managing disinfection works, sampling, flushing and temperature testing. You will be working alongside likeminded and supportive colleagues in order to provide a great customer service.

Duties
- Conduct water testing and control works, including sampling
- Conduct water hygiene tasks, descaling, temperature monitoring, TMV Servicing etc
- Descaling of shower head and hoses.
- Working in partnership with your fellow Water Hygiene Engineers to carry out Tank Cleans/Disinfections
- Calorifier/Hot Water Cylinder Services
- Calorifier Clean/Descaling
- Expansion Vessel Services
- Work to ensure LCA standards are met across all sites
Requirements
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with our company values: Honesty, Professionalism and Quality.
- Experience in water hygiene engineering – At least 2 years in a relevant waster hygiene role.
- Legionella Awareness Training desirable / City & Guilds water industry certifications and other relevant qualifications in water hygiene
- Good level of computer skills, ability to use PDA/Compliance system for reporting
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Good basic understanding of ACOP L8 & HSG 274 parts 1,2,3.
- Ability to make recommendations from service visits.
- Clean UK Driving License.
- Clean DBS Record.

- Salary £24,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience), In addition to your basic salary there are significant opportunities to earn overtime which is readily available.
- 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
- 24 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. Increasing by 1 day per year following 3 years of service.
