As a Water Hygiene Technician you will play a key role in keeping our Clients and Buildings safe and compliant in line with the ACOP and HSG 274. In this role you will be carrying out various monitoring and servicing activities across our client’s property portfolio.
Location: Mobile - Coventry / Warwickshire
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

The Water Hygiene Technician Will
- Undertake routine monitoring and maintenance of building water systems as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
- The monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, and logbook updating & auditing
- The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel throughout the region if required
- The inspections will be undertaken using a mobile handheld device and web based electronic log book system
- Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including Monitoring, Maintenance and Remediation works
- TMV Servicing, Inspection & Replacements
- Clean & Disinfections to Hot & Cold water systems

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
- Current Full UK Driver’s Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
- City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations)
- Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment services
- Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation & maintenance works
