As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our Clients and Buildings safe and compliant in line with ACoP and HSG 274. In this role, you will be carrying out various monitoring and servicing activities across our clients’ property portfolio.
Location: Mobile – Coventry / Warwickshire
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 Hours
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

The Water Hygiene Technician Will
- Undertake routine monitoring and maintenance of building water systems as part of a Legionella Control Program, in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
- Monitoring inspections will involve:
- Temperature testing of water outlets
- TMV inspection
- Inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels
- Water sample collection
- Showerhead disinfection
- Logbook updating & auditing
- Monitoring inspections will involve:
- Work in a multi-site capacity, meaning you must be prepared to travel throughout the region if required
- Utilise a mobile handheld device and web-based electronic logbook system for inspections
- Conduct other water hygiene-related tasks, including:
- Monitoring
- Maintenance
- Remediation works
- TMV servicing, inspection & replacements
- Clean & disinfection of hot & cold water systems
This job description does not outline every activity but provides an appreciation of the role’s scope and the range of duties involved. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed upon with the post holder regularly.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
- Hold a current full UK driver’s licence

Desirable Criteria
- Experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
- City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training
- Knowledge of the legislation and guidance material:
- HSC ACoP L8
- HSG 274
- Water Regulations
- Experience in maintenance, servicing & testing of Chemical Water Treatment services
- Previous experience in water system remediation & maintenance works
