As SOCOTEC expands, we’re adding to our Environment & Safety division, and we need someone dependable and passionate to join us.
This role involves regular travel, as fieldwork will be a core part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Water Hygiene Technician, your day-to-day tasks will include (but are not limited to):
- Cold water storage tank inspections – Assessing conditions and recommending remedial works
- Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing – Ensuring water systems maintain safe temperatures
- Conducting water sampling and analysis
- Performing water temperature monitoring for compliance
- Showerhead descaling and general water system maintenance
Requirements & Qualifications
To succeed as a Water Hygiene Technician at SOCOTEC, you must demonstrate:
✔ Experience (or aptitude for training) in water systems, storage tanks, sampling, or related maintenance ✔ A “can do” attitude – determination and enthusiasm for the role ✔ A full UK driving licence ✔ Flexibility to travel regularly as part of client sites
