# Water IT Systems Administrator – Utility Billing System Location: Fort Worth, Texas (Onsite) Division: City of Fort Worth Water Department, Management Services Division
About the Role
- Join Fort Worth Water Department as a Water IT Systems Administrator – Utility Billing System, where you’ll excel in modern water utilities.
- Part of the Water IT team, responsible for technology systems critical to 1M+ residents.
- Lead a Utility Billing ecosystem, including CIS, IVR, Customer Portal, with potential expansion into AMI, MDM, and Field Service.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $89,164 -$115,914 annually
- Work Schedule: Mon.–Fri., 8am–5pm plus some evening/weekend hours (24x7 on-call rotation required)

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s from an accredited university (major focus in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field)
- Experience: 5 years in information/application systems support—2 years of administrative + supervisory experience
- License: Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Availability: Must participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications
🔹 Experience with Meter-to-Cash business processes (Billing, Contact Center, AMI, MDM, Field Service) 🔹 Knowledge of Utility Billing workflows—plus experience with Water/Wastewater Utilities a plus 🔹 Proficiency with Central Square (Superion/SunGard/HTE) Naviline or similar billing software 🔹 Ability to:
- Navigate, configure, and patch Windows servers
- Lead systems and Troubleshoot IT issues
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise staff, assign workloads, and conduct evaluations
- Develop schedules and ensure compliance with policies
Technical Support & Administration
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, then modify/deploy systems
- Monitor system hardware/IT insecurity and performance
- Provide remote/local support (phone/email/desktop tools)
System Management
- Oversee coverage and enterprise data integrity across Windows servers
- Manage vendor contracts, software migrations, and license compliance
- Adapt to emerging technologies + recommend system improving-customizations

- Test Disaster Recovery Plans regularly
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal divisions
