Project Manager - Water Neutrality
We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead a range of initiatives to support our Water Neutrality strategy and innovation for the industry. The role involves working in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure success in delivering water neutral developments as part of the Ofwat and Nesta backed innovation project.
The primary focus of this position is to manage a portfolio of water neutrality workstreams across behavioral change, technology, and a mixture of both. With this being a one-of-a-kind project, we need the candidate to have a strong knowledge of water industry standards and experience in delivery of communication & marketing projects.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the delivery of a range of water neutral project work streams from concept to completion. This may include commissioning consultancies or researchers to undertake project delivery or project evaluation / impact assessment. It will also involve:
- Creating and delivering a clear vision of the work streams’ objectives and lead the project team in achieving them.
- Developing cost estimates, schedules, key milestones, deliverables, and overall plans for projects.
- Manage project governance activities and attending working groups and meetings which support project delivery.
- Coordinate and analyse data and produce reports to measure the impact of the projects and the wider portfolio when required.
- Ensure the portfolio meets the needs of our customers and target areas to get the best water savings to facilitate water neutral developments.
- Work with key external stakeholders including our customers and wider community groups to support a reduction in water use to facilitate water neutral developments.
- Lead weekly & monthly calls for Project Sponsor, Senior Leaders, Steering Group and Technical Steering group.

What you need
- Significant experience of leading communication & marketing projects.
- Report writing & review skills
- Strong technical knowledge of water fittings
- Understanding of water regulations
- Understanding of water industry legislation
- Forward looking, with an ability to think strategically.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into delivery activity.
- Ability to deal with constant change, demonstrating an agile and flexible approach to work.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills in complex multi stakeholder environments.
