Water Quality Technician
Salary: £32,000 per annum plus annual bonus and Veolia benefits Grade: 4.1 Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri Location: Humber Lane, Tidworth, SP9 7AW

What you'll be doing:
- Follow all site rules and instructions, adhere to lone worker procedures, implement the "Stop the Job" protocol when unsafe conditions are observed, and report all safety concerns, non-compliance, accidents, incidents and close calls to management
- Conduct water quality sampling and collection of statutory/operational samples in accordance with UKAS-accredited ISO17025 standards, maintain detailed sampling records, and investigate water quality issues by liaising with customers
- Check all equipment before use, report defects, ensure all equipment requiring calibration remains in date, and perform quality checks
- Use remote monitoring tools to verify plant condition, monitor consumables (bottles, Butane gas), record sampling data, and report all contractual non-compliance and regulatory communications via the Eco online (AVA) system
- Liaise with the Team Manager, support emergency situations including troubleshooting and breakdowns, maintain good housekeeping practices, and ensure all work complies with performance management, quality management, health and safety legislation and environmental standards

What we're looking for:
- Experience in water quality sampling and testing with knowledge of UKAS ISO17025 and DWI standards.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or relevant science, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, lone worker procedures, and hazard identification in regulated environments
- Equipment operation, calibration, maintenance, remote monitoring tools, and quality management systems experience
- Ability to investigate issues, troubleshoot breakdowns, and interact effectively with customers and team members
- Accurate documentation and compliance record maintenance; proficiency with digital systems and accredited procedures
