Join HomeServe as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.
Location: Birmingham Salary: £33,220 - £37,810 (dependent on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year Hours: Average 40 per week (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)
About the Role
As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work directly in customer homes carrying out critical repairs and maintenance on water supply systems. This field-based role offers variety, responsibility, and the satisfaction of making a real difference.
Responsibilities
Your typical day will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
- Laying and replacing pipework
- Undertaking excavation and reinstatement work as required
- Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
- Representing HomeServe professionally and with care in customer homes

Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
- Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Can work independently and solve on-site problems
- Adopt a positive, proactive approach to their work

Training & Support
We provide a structured onboarding program to ensure you succeed:
- Week 1: Five-day classroom induction at our Walsall Head Office
- Week 2: Hands-on training alongside an experienced WSP Engineer (Note: Accommodation and meal allowances provided where required.)
