Water Supply Pipe Engineer – Birmingham

Join HomeServe as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

Location: Birmingham Salary: £33,220 - £37,810 (dependent on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year Hours: Average 40 per week (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)


About the Role

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work directly in customer homes carrying out critical repairs and maintenance on water supply systems. This field-based role offers variety, responsibility, and the satisfaction of making a real difference.


Responsibilities

Your typical day will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
  • Laying and replacing pipework
  • Undertaking excavation and reinstatement work as required
  • Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
  • Representing HomeServe professionally and with care in customer homes

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Can work independently and solve on-site problems
  • Adopt a positive, proactive approach to their work
