Commercial Environmental Services Ltd is a growing business, delivering high-quality water hygiene and water treatment services. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Water Treatment Engineer to join our friendly, proactive team.
As a Water Treatment Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality water treatment and hygiene programmes for a wide range of customers. You’ll represent the business professionally, liaise with clients, and ensure all work meets regulatory, legislative, and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out water treatment and hygiene works safely, on time, and to a high standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to share progress and updates.
- Conduct a variety of water hygiene and treatment tasks, including:
- Water sampling & temperature monitoring
- Showerhead cleaning & descaling
- Water tank cleaning, inspection & disinfection
- TMV servicing
- Water softener installation & servicing
- Closed-system sampling, testing & remediation
- Plant and equipment installations
- Calorifier inspections
- External mains chlorination
- Complete accurate electronic reports and submit promptly.
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant legislation, policies, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain company vehicle condition and complete regular safety checks.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Job Description
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 2 or more years experience in the water treatment industry.
- Good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM04:01, DWI Private Water Systems, Water Regulations, and relevant British Standards.
- Experience working independently, including in confined spaces and roof/loft areas.
- Confidence using electronic reporting systems.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- A full driving license with fewer than 3 points.
