Waterjet Operator
Location: Darton
Salary: £28,995 per year
Vacancy Type: Permanent – Full Time

About the Role
They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their manufacturing team as a Waterjet Operator. While direct waterjet experience isn’t required, the ideal candidate will have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with machinery or CNC equipment
- The ability to read technical drawings
In this role, you will:
- Be trained to set up and operate waterjet cutting equipment
- Produce precision metal components according to exact specifications
- Work with various metal materials while ensuring parts meet quality and dimensional standards

Candidates with experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or other metalworking environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift Pattern (Rotating Shifts)
- Week 1: 5:45 pm – 2:00 pm (Mon-Thu), 6:00 pm – 1:00 pm (Fri)
- Week 2: 2:00 pm – 12:00 am (Mon-Thu)
Transport note: There are no accessible bus routes to the site, so drivers are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the waterjet machine safely and accurately for metal cutting
- Report maintenance issues and record data in the computer system
- Identify ways to improve processes, boosting productivity and reducing waste
- Handle materials with care, adhering to Health & Safety rules
- Optimize stock usage to minimise waste and meet quality standards
- Label all stock and customer parts per company and customer specifications
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience with waterjet/laser machines or metal industry machinery
- Strong knowledge of safe material handling and Health & Safety
- Self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking, with basic maths skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to use vernier calipers and other precision tools
