Work Pattern: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 9AM - 5PM
Contract: Fixed term contract 31/03/2027
Salary: £26,818 per annum, salary will be pro rata for part time hours.
Location: Sale Road - Norwich - NR7
We are looking for a compassionate, organised Waves Team Leader to support the delivery of our Waves Recovery Programme. This unique service supports people living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), or similar emotional regulation difficulties. The programme helps people understand their emotions and behaviours, make sense of their experiences, and learn practical coping strategies they can use in everyday life.
Waves provides a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where people can learn practical strategies, build self-understanding, strengthen relationships and develop greater emotional resilience.
About The Role
As Waves Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day delivery of the programme. You will support and supervise facilitators, oversee service operations, maintain high standards of quality and governance.
Working closely with the Operations Lead, Clinical Psychologist and wider team, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to ensure the programme remains safe, effective and person-centred.
Key responsibilities
- Support the operational delivery of the Waves Recovery Programme
- Lead, motivate and supervise a team of facilitators and volunteers
- Provide regular supervision and support to team members
- Coordinate and facilitate programme sessions where required
- Respond to referrals and service enquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records, reports and performance data
- Support safeguarding processes and complete incident reporting where appropriate
- Help ensure high standards of clinical quality, governance and record keeping
- Support participants with their wellbeing and advocate on their behalf when needed
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies and clinical professionals
- Promote understanding of personality disorders and challenge stigma in the community

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience supporting people with mental health challenges, particularly those experiencing emotional regulation difficulties or personality disorder traits.
- Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating a Team
- A compassionate, resilient and person-centred approach
- Experience maintaining accurate records and producing reports
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and risk management
