Job Advert - Warehouse Operator

Our continued success and business growth has opened up exciting opportunities for Warehouse Operatives to work for our 3rd party customer at ASDA Logistics Depot in Larne (located beside Larne ASDA store). These roles will appeal to an individual who loves working in a fast-paced team.

Our depot delivers ambient and fresh produce to ASDA Stores across Northern Ireland. If you feel you have what it takes to support us, we would love to hear from you.

Job Purpose:

To carry out any warehouse duties assigned to enable the smooth and effective movement of stock from “Goods in” to “Goods Out” and ensure the timely preparation of store orders to the highest standard of quality, hygiene and accuracy.

Shift Pattern: 12 noon to 8pm working any 5 days out of 7 per week with the guarantee to be off at least 1 weekend every 4 weeks

Duties

  • Training is provided on day shift hours 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm the first week of employment then your assigned rota of 12 noon to 8pm will commence
  • Ensure correct products are received, put away, replenished, assembled and loaded prior to store delivery in line with company procedure
  • Meet targets set by management and the customer with regard to productively and performance, accuracy, timekeeping and attendance
  • Carry out duties avoiding stock damage through insecure loads, poor stacking, insufficient shrink wrap, incorrect loading formation etc.
  • Operate equipment once trained to do so
  • Move objects following safe manual handling techniques
  • Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and presentation.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Aged 16+ you can start your career with us
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
  • FLT and/or Reach Trust licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Manual handling skills are required - this is a physically demanding role
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practices in the workplace
  • Good level of verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to drive MHE
  • High level of accuracy, striving for 100% accuracy and maximum productivity in all tasks
  • Flexibility and reliability (attendance at work) is essential
  • Excellent team working skills along with the ability to work independently
  • Great work ethic

  • Current salary circa £28,000 per annum
