Job Description

Understanding the Role

Purpose of the Role To source, attract, and hire qualified candidates across a variety of roles and levels within the organisation.


Accountabilities (Assistant Vice President Level)

Recruitment Strategy & Pipeline Management

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs aligned with the bank’s business goals.
  • Identify potential candidates through channels including:
    • Job boards
    • Social media
    • Professional networks
    • Employee referrals
  • Build and maintain talent needs assessments to anticipate hiring requirements and sustain a talent pipeline.

Sourcing & Selection

  • Create compelling job postings and marketing materials.
  • Execute and coordinate sourcing, screening and interviewing to evaluate candidates.
  • Provide hiring recommendations and negotiate job offers.

Onboarding & Metrics

  • Oversee onboarding processes to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Monitor and report key recruitment metrics such as:
    • Time-to-fill
    • Cost-per-hire
    • Source of hire
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with:
    • Hiring managers
    • Talent-sourcing firms
    • Professional organisations
  • Strengthen the talent pipeline through collaborative partnerships.

Expectations

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Advise and influence decision-making, contributing to policy development, and driving operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with other business functions/divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks using advanced professional knowledge.

Objective Setting & Performance Coaching

  • Set objectives and coach employees to achieve them.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and determine reward outcomes.

  • Ensure a consistent and seamless interview experience for candidates and hiring teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • CV Screening:
    • Review CVs against role criteria and regulatory expectations.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to validate shortlists and maintain clear documentation.

    • Facilitate high-volume interview scheduling amid complex availability.
    • Coordinate interview panels, logistics, and interviewer availability.
  • Structured Processes:

    • Oversee interview documentation, scoring, and note management, ensuring adherence to governance standards.
  • Outcome Tracking & Improvement:

    • Monitor interview feedback, conversion rates, and system accuracy.
    • Identify bottlenecks, trends, and areas for process improvement.
    • Provide insightful metrics reports (MI).
  • Data Governance:

    • Communicate outcomes to the Talent Acquisition team.
    • Maintain alignment between processes and business needs.
