Wealth Operations Specialist

Whiteley / Hybrid
Contract until end of 2026
£16.00 p/h

About the Role

Our client, a Tier 1 bank, are looking for an experienced and customer-focused professional to join our Wealth Operations team as a Wealth Operations Specialist.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, supporting colleagues, and ensuring excellent service for customers and stakeholders. You'll act as a subject matter expert within the team, helping to drive operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of quality, risk management, and customer outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert, resolving complex operational queries and supporting colleagues across the team.
  • Deliver excellent service to customers and stakeholders, handling issues and complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Monitor service levels, ensure deadlines are met, and support both onshore and offshore Wealth Operations teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve customer outcomes.
  • Support projects, business change initiatives, and testing activities as a subject matter expert when required.
  • Coach and develop colleagues by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting team success.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management standards.
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulations and proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate operational risks.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in Wealth Operations, Financial Services, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex issues with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting colleagues through coaching, training, or technical guidance.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CASS, ISA regulations, and wider financial services regulations.
  • Experience of process improvement initiatives.
  • Project support, testing, or subject matter expert (SME) experience.
