Wealth Planner
Join us as a Wealth Planner, where you’ll play a key role in helping clients shape their financial future through thoughtful planning and investment advice. You’ll work closely with new and existing clients to understand their long-term goals and provide bespoke solutions that support their financial and lifestyle needs.
Your experience will help clients feel comfortable and informed as they take steps toward what matters most to them.
About the Role
This role is part of our Wealth Management Business, a growing area for the bank. We’re expanding our ability to support clients with investable assets up to £3 million and help close the Advice Gap in the UK. As part of our broader Affluent segment, this planning-led proposition offers clear and accessible investment options shaped around each client’s needs.

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Build lasting relationships by listening with care, offering specialist guidance, and delivering planning strategies tailored to each client’s journey.
- Collaborate with our Wealth Acquisition team to support new client growth and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to invested customer.
- Work across teams to provide a seamless and consistent experience.
Client Engagement
- Use digital tools and platforms to enhance client engagement.
- Stay connected to market trends and refine your approach by sharing ideas and contributing to a culture that values integrity, inclusion, and high standards.
Purpose of the Role
- Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients.
- Act as a bridge between the bank’s offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.
Accountabilities
- Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance by analyzing data from various sources, including investment portfolios and cash flow.
- Research industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive environments to inform strategic recommendations.
- Design customized solutions addressing specific client needs, incorporating products and services from the bank’s portfolio.
- Communicate the value proposition, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms beneficial to both clients and the bank.
- Provide guidance on financial decisions, investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies.
- Assess financial, legal, and operational risks, implementing measures to minimize losses.
- Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue, and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of efforts.

Requirements
Core Qualifications
- A recognised financial planning qualification at RDR Level 4 or above (essential).
- Working knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to explain multi-layered topics clearly and concisely.
- Skill in using digital tools to support client conversations, balanced with thoughtful communication that builds trust.
- Ability to identify and manage risk, while maintaining high standards of compliance.
Highly Valued Skills (Sought but Not Mandatory)
- Experience working with internal teams and external networks to engage new clients.
- Exposure to the Financial Services industry, especially in retail regulated products and asset management.
- Familiarity with pensions, investment advice, UK taxation, and managing risk within portfolios.
- Adaptability and curiosity in a fast-evolving environment.

Location & Certification
This role is based in London.
Certified Role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations. Requires holding mandatory regulatory qualifications or meeting internal company benchmarks.
