Web Content Designer
ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Web Content Designer on a hybrid basis, on an initial 6-month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of c.£17.77/hour PAYE (based on experience). Please note that any applicants need to have experience using Terminalfour (T4 CMS). Applicants that do not have experience using this CMS, cannot be considered for this position.
The Role:
The post holder will contribute to supporting and delivering the strategic aims and ambitions of the organisation by creating, maintaining and publishing web content for key audiences, in line with agreed plans, priorities and standards. The role focuses on the operational delivery of web content services, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, user‑focused and compliant with organisation requirements across agreed digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver agreed web plans through defined programmes of work to agreed priorities, timescales, and quality standards. Work is delivered to agreed briefs and deadlines.
- Contribute to identified digital initiatives and support larger marketing or communications projects, working to agreed briefs, scopes and delivery expectations.
- Monitor and report on the website performance using Google Analytics and other approved tools, providing evidence‑based insights and recommendations to inform future planning, with decisions taken by senior colleagues.
- Provide operational support as a T4 Principal Web Publisher, offering day‑to‑day guidance on content creation and publishing processes, within established standards and escalation routes.
- Implementation of the brand framework, web publishing and style guidelines.
- Utilise and develop the University’s Content Management System (CMS), T4, ensuring compliance with organisational regulations and strategy with regards to website development.
- Collaborate and engage with colleagues in the Professional Services Team. Working closely with colleagues in Marketing Communications, social media and Recruitment Marketing teams to ensure consistency in brand and message.
- Represent and participate on web committees.
- Apply user‑centred design principles, developing simple visual mock‑ups or prototype concepts where helpful, alongside basic user testing and analysis to inform content improvements. Maintain clear documentation of content decisions, changes and work in progress to support continuity and handover.
- Keep up to date with current knowledge, changes and developments to enhance web content design.
- Engage in continuing professional development activities as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Marketing Manager.

Essential Experience:
- Experience of working with T4 our CMS.
- Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 8 (Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4, Higher National Diploma) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
- Detailed practical knowledge and experience of producing engaging content, and of writing for the web using a Content Management System (CMS).
- Detailed knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Proven ability to create engaging content across a variety of digital media channels.
- Proven ability to present and organise web content in an accessible and usable way.
- Experience of utilising Google Analytics and statistics to produce reports.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, CMS, and design software.
- Proven ability to manage a demanding work schedule and produce high quality work, often to tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently within agreed priorities and direction, adapting to changing requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Using initiative and judgement to assess and resolve operational issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; negotiating and influencing with an ability to work across teams, working directly with end users and project stakeholders.
- High levels of creativity with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience of presenting to audiences and facilitation of workshops. This should also include skills using on-line tools such as Zoom, Mural, Miro, etc.
- Significant experience within a similar or related role
- Publishing experience in a marketing context.
- Experience in creating content for a variety of channels
